I bought this to make a daily driver out of it. I drove it for a year or so with the 6 banger and 3 speed on the tree before something went wrong in the transmission.

While I was driving it and playing with it I knew it needed to be rewired so I ripped out all the old and put in a new Rebel harness. I found one small rust hole while taking it apart and repaired it while I was there.

Prior to the wiring project I did a few small things. The radio hole was butchered so I made this gauge panel to cover it.

You can see the radio project in the last pic. I am still on the fence about the radio so I made a removable pod instead of cutting the dash more.

I've got tons more. I'll just add to this thread as I have time. My buddy was able to save all my pics on my memory card that crashed.

Finally it was time for it to come apart. I hated it because I enjoyed driving it so much.

Someone some where welded the passenger side inner fender to the firewall. I cut if off, repaired that rust and moved along.

Raid you have done one hell of a good job brother, really like the look of the 65.

smart move removing all the old wiring the 55 year old original wiring was toast. I like your attention to the small details Raid!

Thanks guys. It's a mess going through these pics and trying to organize them.

I did some test fitting on a parts truck and figured out how to use stock C5 motor mounts and keep the low mount ac compressor. I ended up cutting more of the crossmember but didn't get pics of it. Then boxed it all in with plate.

I also rebuilt the front suspension adding disc brakes, power steering and lowering it.
the PO also cut the frame for a radiator, not sure why, I'm using the same radiator and it fits normal but I welded up the holes and cleaned up the frame Click image for larger version

Unfortunately this is where the semi organized pics end. I have to dig through gigs of pictures to find more so I'll update as I find them. But here is a semi current pic to show the progress that has happened in the interim.
